Survey Respondents Who Use Graphical Display Screens Indicated the Most Common Size Was 6-10 Inches

An electronic survey of Control Design readers was conducted in April 2013 in order to identify usage and application trends of HMI & industrial PCs among the industrial machine builders that comprise Control Design's readership.

Respondents who use graphical display screens indicated the most common size was 6-10 inches (29.4%), followed by 10 -14 inches (25.9%), 15-20 inches (23.5%) and 4-6 inches (8.2%). Only 2.4% of respondents use screens less than four inches while 10.6 use screens 21 inches or greater.
